Elo TouchSystems' Commitment To Privacy

Your right to privacy and the security of the data you share with us is a primary concern at Elo TouchSystems. For that reason, we provide this privacy policy to you, which explains what type of information we collect, what we do with that information, and how you can update and control the use of your personally identifiable data. The terms of this privacy policy apply unless different terms are provided to you by Elo TouchSystems. By using our sites, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy; if you disagree with this policy, please do not use our sites.

The Information We Collect

Elo TouchSystems has several Web sites that provide information to the public about its products and allow customers to order products online. You are welcome to visit our informational elotouch.com Web site without disclosing personally identifiable information such as your name, telephone number or address unless you have voluntarily provided it to us, such as through an online form providing feedback, requesting a quotation, or registering for a special promotion or contest. Our e-commerce Web sites and our Communications Corner Web site require a user name and password to access the site. In order to obtain a user name and password, we ask you to provide information such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, company, and job title.

When you order a product from Elo TouchSystems, we ask you to provide us with information such as your shipping and billing address, credit card number, card type and expiration date, which is stored with the other information you have provided to us. In addition, you may submit a credit application, which you may complete online or print and send to us offline. The credit application requests information such as bank account and credit reference information.

When you agree to be on our mailing list, we request that you provide us with your e-mail address so that we may e-mail monthly product updates to you.

We also may collect feedback from you regarding the usability of our site, including but not limited to product sales and services provided through the site.

Cookies And Related Data Collection

Cookies are small files that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Cookies allow us to deliver customized experiences to you every time you visit our site. Our cookies do not identify you personally, although they may be correlated with personally identifiable information in our log files or may contain unfinished order numbers to facilitate completion of such orders on your next visit to our Web site. Many Web browsers automatically accept cookies. If you would like to prevent cookies, you can modify your Web browser, although you may not be able to use some of our services if you decline to accept cookies.

We collect general information about your visits to our site, such as the pages most frequently visited, the number of daily visitors, and how long visitors stay on each page. We also collect information during your visits to the site, which allows us to customize your session visit for you.

We also log standard information such as your operating system, browser, Internet Protocol address (which is a number that can be used to identify your Internet Service Provider or computer location), and the URLs from which a visitor enters and exits our Web sites. A URL is the full address of a Web site page. Some sites over which Elo TouchSystems has no control may include personal or identifying information about the person who is viewing its page. We do not analyze or sell any personally identifying information that may be included in URLs from other Web sites. We do, however, share information with our business partners about navigation to, from and within our Web sites.

Use of Information Collected

The personally identifiable information described above which we collect from you is used to support and facilitate your relationship with Elo TouchSystems. For example, it is used to process and fulfill your orders, notify you of the status of your orders, and provide you with information about offers or products we believe you will find valuable. We may use your feedback to assist us in updating our site and making it accessible and easy to use. If you have provided us with your telephone number online, we may contact you by phone with regard to our products and services. We use IP addresses to analyze demographic information and to help diagnose problems with our Web site. We also may combine information that you have given us online with information you have given us offline, in order to provide you with improved customer service and with tailored information about our products and services.

We use navigational information, including IP addresses, for marketing analysis in order to understand the needs of our customers and to help us best serve those needs.

We provide to vendors, suppliers and others involved in providing products and services for Elo TouchSystems personally identifiable information they need to fulfill their role in providing you with the products or services you have requested. In addition, some of our Web sites may provide forms through which you can describe product interests or requirements, and, if your needs may be served by a third party in addition to Elo TouchSystems, we may share that information with such third party to help offer you a total product solution. We do not currently sell or rent your personally identifiable information to others. We may provide aggregate statistics to other companies about our customers, sales or related site activity for purposes of marketing or promotion, and may share with partners the names of the most frequent visitors to our sites, identified by user alias or company name.

We may disclose your personal information if we have a good faith belief that we are required to do so by law or legal process, to respond to claims, to protect the rights, property or safety of Elo TouchSystems or others, or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.

Other companies that provide services on our Web sites, provide a co-branded version of the website, or advertise or link on the Web sites, may use cookies or collect other information about you. Elo TouchSystems does not control the collection or use of information by these companies. You should contact them directly if you have any questions about their collection or use of information about you. It is possible that as we continue to develop our Web site and our business, Elo TouchSystems and/or its assets might be acquired. In such a transaction, customer information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

Protection Of Your Personal Information

We secure the server for our e-commerce Web sites through SSL encryption, which is the industry standard with respect to security measures. This means that all of the information you input when ordering a product, such as your address and credit card number, is encrypted before it is sent to us. In addition, our elotouchexpress.com Web site is a VeriSign Secure Site.

We use a third-party credit card processing company to process orders by credit cards, which is contractually obligated not to use your credit card information for any purpose other than processing your order. If you would like to make a purchase, but prefer not to disclose your credit card information online, please contact a sales representative via telephone, at 1-800-557-1458 or 1-650-361-4800.

How To Opt Out Or Change Your Personal Information At Any Time

If you have signed up for our mailing list and later decide you would prefer not to receive our mailings, we will contain instructions with every mailing about how to unsubscribe and such requests will be honored as quickly as possible.

Users of our e-commerce Web sites may access and update order and invoice information related to their account, which is maintained on our servers.

Please help us keep your personal information accurate and up-to-date. You can check, change or delete the information we have collected about you at any time by contacting us at eloinfo@tycoelectronics.com.
