P3 USB Connector

The USB connector, P3, on the 2515 controller only, is a USB Series "B" receptacle as specified in section 5.3.2 of the USB specification, version 3.0. The pins are numbered as shown in Table 2.

Table 2. USB Interface on Connector P3, Pins and Signal Names

P3 Pin Number Signal Name Standard Wire Color
1 VBUS Red
2 D- White
3 D+ Green
4 GND Black
Shell Shield Drain wire

The power connector, P4, is a 2 row by five position header with 0.64mm (0.025 inch) square pins on a 2.54mm (0.100) inch centers.  The pins are numbered as shown in Table 3.  The P4 power connector is found on both 2510 and 2515 controllers.

The header is compatible with insulation displacement cable connectors such as Berg-FCI series 71600, series 66900, and series 66902, Molex series 54559/54560, series 5320 and series 90635, TE 622 series and 626 series, and NOVO receptacles.  The header is also compatible with crimp termination, discrete wire receptacles and housings including Berg-FCI Mini-Latch housing and Mini-PV receptacles, Molex series 70450 connectors, and the TE AMPODU Mod. IV connector family.
