No DSR Indication

Incomplete comdump Handshake Indication (CTS, but no DSR)

CTS indicates that the controller passed its Power On Self Test (POST). The missing DSR implies that the controller has no power, but the controller cannot pass the POST unless power is applied, so we know that implication is false and that the fault lies with a cable or the COM port.

The lack of the DSR indication can mean:

• the DSR line (pin 6 of the DB9 connector) is not connected
• there is a problem with the COM port or its connections
