Incomplete comdump Handshake Indication (DSR and CTS Missing)

Comdump (1.6a) - Elo TouchSystems COM Port Diagnostic

Port:  COM1 (or COM2)

None implies either a cabling problem, or that the controller is not powered and (therefore) it failed the Power On Self Test.

The handshake None indication can mean:

  • the controller is not connected to the specified COM port
    • First, try running comdump on the other port. If still None, try connecting the touch system to the other port and running comdump for that port.
  • the controller is not getting power
  • only a two or three wire serial connection is made (transmit/receive and ground)
  • there is a problem with the COM port or its connections
