"GO" Won't Go

At the end of installation you are prompted to run the GO.BAT program, which calibrates the touchsystem in DOS video modes. This program runs only once, then is erased. If GO was aborted for any reason, you should run ELOCALIB.

DOS calibration must be performed, even if you do not plan to run DOS applications.

Windows touch drivers will not load unless DOS drivers are first loaded and calibrated.

From the DOS command line, enter ELOCALIB.

  • Pick the video resolution your DOS application will run in (UP/DN arrow keys, then ENTER key).
    • If you do not plan to run DOS applications, calibrate in any of the modes
      • (640 x 480 is a good choice).
  • Press the C key (to begin calibration).
    • Touch the target in the upper left corner of the display.
    • Touch the target in the lower right corner of the display.
    • Touch the target in the upper right corner of the display.
  • Press the S key (save the calibration points)
    • Touch the YES box (or press the Enter key)
    • Press the ENTER key to save the calibration points in the elograph.cal file.
    • Touch the YES box (or press the Enter key)
    • Press the ENTER key to save the calibration points in the autoexec.bat file.

You may repeat the procedure to calibrate for all video modes your DOS applications might use.

The points you save in the autoexec.bat file will be the initial calibration after a boot to DOS.

Thereafter, a switch to another DOS video mode will pick up the calibration points for that mode from the elograph.cal file.

Again: You must calibrate for any DOS video mode to be used, and save the points in the elograph.cal file.
