DOS and Windows v2.0c-1 Driver Removal
To Remove All DOS and Windows Touchscreen
Driver Components
Delete the following file from the \windows
directory:
Delete the following files from the
\windows\system directory:
- monmouse.drv (may be in use by Windows; may have
to be deleted from a DOS prompt)
- vmmd.386
- elocalw.cpl (failure to delete this will give you
an extra icon in Control Panel)
- elocalw.hlp
Edit AUTOEXEC.BAT
- delete all lines with the \touch\ path
- (ELODEV, monmouse and maybe nomouse)
- delete the mouse call, if present
Edit \windows\SYSTEM.ini
- in [Boot] section,
change the mouse.drv=monmouse.drv
line
to mouse.drv=mouse.drv
- in [Boot Description] section, delete
mouse="Elo..." line
- in [386Enh] section,
change mouse=vmmd.386 line to
mouse=*vmouse, msmouse.vxd
Edit \windows\win.ini:
- delete [elocalw] section.
Re-install the Windows mouse, if necessary.
- Control Panel, Add New Hardware, Mouse
