Logitech Mouseware Patch, Windows 95/98/Me v3.00 Driver

Do not attempt to edit the registry unless you are familiar with the regedit operation. Making a mistake in regedit could result in having to reinstall the operating system.

Run regedit

Double-click down the path below, except single-click the Global key; this will open the Global key, and you may then double-click PortSearchOrder to view and edit it. If you do not see these keys, then this procedure is not relevant to your problem and you can close regedit and proceed.

     \SOFTWARE
          \Logitech
               \MouseWare
                    \CurrentVersion
                         \Global
                           PortSearchOrder

If the touchscreen's COM port is listed in PortSearchOrder, you should edit it as follows:

• Double-click the PortSearchOrder string.
• Highlight the touchscreen's COM port text.
• Delete the touchscreen's COM port text from the PortSearchOrder string.
• Close regedit and reboot.
