Installing the Windows 95/98/Me v3.00 Driver
To install:
- Unzipped downloaded file:
- Double-click setup.exe
in the elowin9X folder.
- After the Welcome and License
Agreement dialogs, the third dialog is for selecting single-monitor or
multiple monitor setups. A typical setup has only one monitor
attached. However, up to four touchmonitors can be connected to
four individual COM ports. Make the appropriate selection.
- You need only know which
COM port the touchmonitor (or each touchmonitor) is connected to. All SmartSet touchscreen controllers are supported, so it is not
necessary to know the controller model number.
- Files are copied, the driver is
installed and the video alignment screen is presented next. Note
that system reboot is not required.
- Touch the target in the upper
left corner; a target then appears in the lower right corner.
Touch it, then the target that appears in the upper right corner.
- Next, touch various places on
the screen and verify that the cursor jumps to the point of touch.
Touch the YES button if alignment is OK or the NO button to repeat the
process.
- If the process is not
completed within 30 seconds, the video alignment routine is
aborted.
- The process is repeated for
each installed touchmonitor.
- The driver is now installed
and aligned. Re-alignment should not be necessary as long as the
video image is not adjusted.
