Removing the Obsolete Windows NT v1.0 Driver

Delete from winnt\system32\drivers

monmouse.sys
monmouse.ini
regini.exe
delete from winnt\system32
elocalw.cpl
elocalw.hlp

You must be logged on as the system administrator to delete the registry entries. (Otherwise, you will not be able to modify the system registry)

Using regedit, remove the MonMouse Parameters and MonMouse entries from the registry.

Run Regedit, drill down to the MonMouse key, highlight the MonMouse key and hit the DEL key to delete MonMouse and all of its associated keys

Delete the DoubleClick height and width keys

hkey_CURRENT_USER
     \Control Panel
        \Mouse
          \Delete only the following two keys
            \DoubleClickHeight
              \DoubleClickWidth
