Windows XP/2000 Universal Driver for USB and Serial, Single or Multiple
Monitors - SW600071
Download drivers
Notes
- The Windows XP/2000
Universal driver does
not support PC-Bus controllers or older serial controllers. It does
support all Elo USB and Elo SmartSet serial controllers, including the
CarrollTouch 4000 series. Both single and multiple monitor
installations are supported, on either Windows 2000 or Windows XP, and
right-click is supported in two different ways.
- Be sure to
download the touch driver, as new controllers require the latest version.
Installation
- Double-click the
sw600071.zip file in Windows Explorer to unzip the driver files and
start the installation wizard. The default installation
directory is \Program Files\Elo TouchSystems, Inc\Elo XP Universal
Driver 420. The installation can also be
accomplished by double-clicking the EloSetup.exe file (which is with the
other unzipped files). After
installation is complete, you should align the touchscreen (ControlPanel,
Elo Touchscreen, General tab: Align button).
- If you get a
reference to COM port selection when installing the USB driver, see the
Troubleshooting section, below.
- The Device Manager
should show a Human Interface Device shortly after a USB touchmonitor has
been connected to a USB port; if not, see the Troubleshooting section,
below.
Removal
- In Control Panel,
Add/Remove Programs, select Elo TouchTools for Windows, then click the
Change/Remove button.
- Close or cancel the
Found New Hardware wizard if it appears.
- After removal, the
file folders remain intact; only the system files and Control Panel icon
are removed.
- Also, after removal,
the secondary registry entries and the USB portion of the primary registry
entries remain intact.
