Video cable (also
known as VGA cable)
- 15 pin female
connector on the monitor and the computer
- 6 foot cable,
male on both ends
- (On older
monitors the video cable is not detachable - only one connector in that
case)
Serial touchmonitor
interface
- 9 pin female
connector on the monitor
- 9 pin
male COM port connector on computer
- Connectors each
have two rows of pins
- 6 foot cable,
male on one end, female on other end
- Male to monitor,
female to COM port
- There should be
no male-to-female adapters at any of the connection points
USB touchmonitor
interface
- 4 pin square
connector on monitor
- 4 pin rectangular
connector on computer
- 6 foot cable
PC-bus touchmonitor
interface (obsolete)
- 9 pin male
connector on the monitor
- Controller card
plugs into a computer bus slot
- 9 pin female
connector on PC-bus controller
- Connectors each
have two rows of pins
- 6 foot cable,
male on one end, female on other end
- Female to
monitor, male to controller
- There should be
no male-to-female adapters at any of the connection points
