Customer Display: TroubleshootingIf the customer display does not show in Device Manager when the USB cable is connected, then the customer display is defective. The various conditional Device Manager entries are shown below. With the USB cable connected, without the customer display driver installed: listed as a Universal Serial Bus controller device, with problem.
USB cable connected, customer display driver installed as virtual COM port: listed as a COM port device.
USB cable connected, customer display driver installed as device name: listed as a Universal Serial Bus controller device.
After customer display driver removal, until the USB cable is disconnected: listed as a Port device, with problem.
