1525L Touchcomputer Video Memory

Video memory is a section of the touchcomputer's general SDRAM that is reserved for video processing. It is set by selecting the default values in the BIOS setup, and may be set to either of two values: 8 Mbytes (Fail-Safe Defaults) or 16 Mbytes (Optimized Defaults - this is the recommended setting).

To change the video memory setting, power the touchcomputer down, then connect a standard PS2 keyboard. Power the system up and press the DEL key at the initial command line boot-up screen (the black and white text screen - "Press DEL to enter setup" will be displayed in the lower left corner of the screen).

To set video memory to 16 Mbytes (recommended), use the arrow keys on the keyboard to navigate to the Load Optimized Defaults item. To set video memory to 8 Mbytes, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to navigate to the Load Fail-Safe Defaults item. To load the selected defaults, press the ENTER key, press the Y key, then press the ENTER key again. Arrow down to the Save and Exit Setup item, press ENTER, then press ENTER again. The appropriate default settings will be loaded and the system will continue with the boot sequence.
