Elo Touch Solutions Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. At Elo Touch Solutions, Inc. ("Elo," "we" or "us" which includes any of our worldwide direct and indirect subsidiaries), we recognize and respect your privacy. Elo is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit any Elo Site (defined below) and anyone who registers to utilize services offered by Elo through any Site. Elo is registered by the U.S. Department of Commerce with respect to the Safe Harbor Principles. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose your information.

This Privacy Policy (as amended from time to time, this "Privacy Policy") applies to Elo's domain name www.elotouch.com and its other affiliated sites ("Site").

We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates to this Privacy Policy will be posted on the Site. You should check the Site periodically to review our current Privacy Policy, which is effective as of the revision date listed below.

Examples of Information We Collect and Why

Elo collects different types of personal information from users who use the Site. This information may include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Name, title, business entity name, email address(es);
  • Username and password;
  • Contact preferences, mailing and website addresses, social media information;
  • Telephone and fax numbers

We also collect non-personal information - data in a form that does not permit direct association with any specific individual. This includes information such as occupation, language, zip code, area code, unique device identifier and location. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose.

When you visit the Site you may be asked for information for various purposes, including any of the following:
Register an account:

  • Place and fulfill orders, deal registration and participate in rebate programs;
  • Request information, quotes, services and samples;
  • Provide customer-service and support;
  • Provide webinars and training activities;
  • Sign-up for or subscribe to products and services, newsletters, promotional activities and other opportunities, contests, sweepstakes and surveys;
  • Respond to job postings; and
  • Ask questions or to provide information to Elo.

Examples of How We Use and Share Collected Information

Except as outlined in this Privacy Policy, Elo does not share information collected from you with third parties without your consent. However, without your consent, Elo may use and share with a third party your collected personal information to:

  • Conduct our business with our worldwide affiliates and subsidiaries, consultants and service providers;
  • Improve the Site and our products and services;
  • Deliver and support our services and products;
  • Carry out transactions you have requested;
  • For auditing, data analysis and research;
  • Send you information about the Site, products and services, promotional activities, opportunities and marketing information, product safety information and your transaction status;
  • Enforce our Terms of Sale, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and other agreements with you; and
  • Comply with applicable law or service of process.

Service Partners

Elo may share your information with service providers who provide services on behalf of Elo. Elo does not share, sell, rent, or trade any information with service providers for their promotional purposes.

Site Usage and Account Registration

While you may browse our Site without creating an online account, to use certain Elo programs and Site features you may be required to create an account. As specified above, Elo collects certain information during account registration. We want you to be able to access and keep your personal information up to date. To view or edit your personal information stored in your account, please visit the Elo Site "Personal Information", "Settings" or similar tab. You may refuse to provide certain information; but, if you choose not to provide it you may not be able to take advantage of certain Elo programs and Site features.

We may collect information about how you use the Site such as general demographic information, viewership data and other anonymous information (e.g., what content is viewed, related transfer rates, length of viewing, which pages are viewed, from which websites end-users came to our Site, IP address(es), browser type and other information relating to the device through which the Site is accessed).


Elo and certain third party service providers use cookies, web beacons (clear GIFs, web bugs) and similar technologies to track user activity and collect Site data. We may combine this data with other collected information including your personal information.

  • Cookies. We may use cookies to uniquely identify devices and browsers and to track end-user activity on the Site. Our cookies assign a random, unique number to the end-user device. Cookies do not contain information that would personally identify the end-user, although we can associate a cookie with any identifying information that is or has been provided to us while visiting our Site. Most browsers allow users to refuse cookies, but doing so may impede the functionality of some portions of our Site. Cookies also enable Elo to improve the quality of the Site and services, improve searching functions and results and track trends. Certain web browsers allow end-users to enable "Do Not Track" functionality. You may be required to specifically disable Cookies through the settings on your browser. By continuing to use our Site, you are agreeing to Cookies being placed on your computer through your browser settings. Elo responds to an end-user's choice to implement such functionality by accepting the cookie settings of the browser. This may result in users having to re-enter data to use the Service. Please see your browser settings for cookie preferences and settings.
  • Server Logs. Elo servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit the Site. The server logs may include information such as your web request, IP address, browser type and language, dates, times and cookies.
  • Web Beacons. Web beacons are tiny graphics with a unique identifier (similar in function to cookies) that are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computer's hard drive, web beacons are embedded invisibly on webpages and may not be disabled or controlled through your browser.
  • Third Parties. We may engage third parties to track and analyze Site activity. These third parties may place cookies or web beacons to track user activity on our Site. We use the data collected by such third parties to help us administer and improve the quality of the Site, analyze usage of the Site, and provide a more enhanced user experience on the Site, such as personalizing and delivering relevant offers and content based on user activity on the Site.
  • Location Based Services. Elo and its partners may provide certain features as part of the Service that rely upon device-based location information. To provide such features or services, Elo may collect, use, transmit, process and maintain your location data, including the real-time geographic location of your device, and you hereby agree and consent to Elo's collection, use, transmission, processing and maintenance of such location data to provide such services. Such information may include but is not limited to device ID, device type and real-time geographic location of your device at the time of your request.

Do Not Track

Currently, various browsers - including Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari - offer a "do not track" or "DNT" option that relies on a technology known as a DNT header, which sends a signal to Web sites' visited by the user about the user's browser DNT preference setting. You may enable or disable those capabilities through the browser of your choice. Elo currently adopts the browsers' DNT signals with respect to the Company's Web sites.

Payment Data / Transaction Information

Certain Elo products and services such as trial or paid subscriptions designed to enable your business to accept payments or using our Site to make purchases require you to provide certain information (e.g., credit card information and billing, shipping and e-mail addresses) but solely to initiate payment processing. We do not store your full credit card information. All payment processing is done by our third party processors, The information you provide to us to process payments will be shared with our processors. You should review the privacy policy of the applicable third party payment processor as they may collect and use your personal information.

Use of Your Email

We may use your email address to communicate with you about:

  • Your use of the Site and your account;
  • Orders you have placed and to send you receipts;
  • Inquiries or requests that you have made;
  • Our products and services, news, promotional activities and other opportunities that we (or third parties) believe may be of interest to you. If, at any time, you would like to stop receiving these types of promotional e-mails, you may follow the opt-out instructions contained in any such e-mail or set forth in this Privacy Policy; and
  • Other notices necessary and specific to you.

Job Applications

In order to respond to a job posting on our Site, we may ask you to submit information about your educational background, employment experience, including a resume.

End-User Generated Content

Certain aspects of the Site and some Elo products and services allow or request end-users to post information to our Site or provide Elo feedback. Any information that you post to our Site may be viewable by others who use our Site. We are not responsible for the privacy of any information that you choose to post to our Site, or for the accuracy of any information contained in your postings or the postings of others. We cannot prevent information you post from being used by others in a manner that may violate this Privacy Policy, the law, or your personal privacy.

From Third Parties About You

We may collect certain information provided to us by third parties such as information for identity verification purposes, credit checks, financial or credit bureau information (such as a business owner's credit score, credit history and bank account information) and publicly available information.

Third-Party Links

At times, our Site may contain links to other, third-party websites. Any access to and use of such linked websites is not governed by this Privacy Policy, but, instead, is governed by the privacy policies of those third party websites. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third party websites and if you visit such websites, you do so at your own risk.

Elo's Business and Legal Compliance

Elo may share your personal information with our affiliates and subsidiaries as well as our consultants and service providers to conduct our business or with authorities to comply with the law for reasons, including as follows:

  • Contractors, security consultants, customer service providers (e.g.. information technology or human resources consultants or service providers), credit bureaus, and collection agencies to perform certain functions on our behalf;
  • Our lenders or other financial partners
  • Respond to a subpoena or other legal process by a governmental entity or third party, or if otherwise under a good faith belief we are required by applicable law to do so;
  • Prevent illegal activity, protect or enforce our rights, property or customers and contact appropriate authorities.

International Users

The Site is hosted in the United States. If use is permitted from outside of the US and you are accessing the Site from outside the United States, by providing your information to the Site, you do so at your own risk and are consenting to and authorizing the transfer of your information to the United States or other countries for storage, use, processing, maintenance and onward transfer of such information to other entities, regardless of their location, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.


We take reasonable physical, technical and administrative measures designed to protect the security of information that you provide to us. Despite our efforts, no data security measures can guarantee the security of any information you disclose online. We do not make any warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will be able to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access to, or alteration of personally identifiable information you provide to us.


Elo does not permit children under the age of 18 to register on the Site or use any of its functionality for which registration is required. Elo does not knowingly collect the personal information of children under age 18. If you are under 18 years of age, you may not use the Site and you should not provide any information to Elo. If Elo determines that a minor under the age of 18 is using the Site or has provided information to Elo, Elo will terminate the account, the minor's use of the account and delete all related information. In addition, if you are a minor under the age of 18 and wish to remove any content you have provided on the site please send an email to generalcounsel@elotouch.com requesting removal of any content provided.

California Privacy Rights

California law allows residents of the State of California to request certain information Elo discloses to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
