Elo Android 14 Release for Android 10 & 12 Devices
On January 29, 2026, Elo will release a major OS upgrade to Android 14 for select Elo Android devices including I-Series 4, Backpack 4, M50, Elo Pay M60, Elo Pay 22, Elo Pay 7, and Elo Pay M100. Elo’s Android 14 upgrade is part of our EloCare OS 360 program to provide continued security and OS support to Elo devices throughout their life cycle. Android 12 updates will continue for 1 year. After this transition period, software updates will only be available for Android 14.
To ensure your device remains secure and up to date, we recommend enhancing your coverage with EloCare OS 360, which provides access to Android 14 features, bug fixes and security updates to help protect your devices against new and emerging threats.
Android 14 will be available via EloView, OEMConfig or direct download with an active OS 360 subscription. New devices from Elo will continue to ship with Android 10 and 12, allowing you to control migration to Android 14 based on your specific needs.

When moving applications from Android 10 or 12 to Android 14, developers should check their apps for compatibility with API 34. Key architectural changes in this version, specifically regarding Foreground Service Types and Broadcast Receiver security, may require code updates to prevent runtime exceptions. We strongly recommend a phased testing approach as hardware-level interactions can vary between OS versions. Please validate your applications on Elo Android 14 hardware before initiating a full-scale production rollout.
